Sake Set depending on the season and your mood

In Japan, when drinking sake a small cup called Ochoko is used. The purpose of this small cup is to repeatedly pour each other a cup of sake. By repeating this it is said that a connection of heart and mind is deepen or Kizuna (a mutual bond) is developed.

This cup is made by an up and coming artist from Shimane Prefecture, Yasushi Funo.
His glassware has been selected by a famous resort hotel in Japan.


Beku Hai cupSize: φ 7.2 x H 4.3cm (pointed cup)

Sake lovers have created a drinking game called Beku Hai where you roll a dice and the loser has to drink out of a cup with a hole in the bottom where you must put your finger over the hole; or there are pointed bottom cups. This means that you can’t put your cup down unless you empty your cup. It is just fun to drink with them with friends.

Instructions on handling the lacquer ware.
Should not be used directly on a gas range, electric stove, microwave or oven. No dishwasher, hand wash only with mild dish soap with cloth or soft sponge and do not scrub. Avoid placing near fire place and the long exposure of direct sunlight may cause change of color.
NOTE: In extreme rare case s , new lacquer ware may cause rashes , please consult your dermatologist as soon as possible.

Wood
Instructions on handling the wood products.
Avoid direct sunlight, or placing near heating or cooling equipment and/or humidifier. It may cause discoloration and deformation. There may be a change in color due to aging and use over years.
No dishwasher,. wipe with a damp cloth.

Pottery/Ceramics
Instructions on handling the pottery/ceramics.
No dishwasher, hand wash only using mild dish soap with cloth or soft sponge and do not scrub.
If necessary soak in water before washing.
